movie is something new and enjoyable.the story
loses its track in the second hour but regains
it before 10 mins of climax.the screenplay is
not upto the mark in the first hour but is good in the second hour.the dialouges are good.
the direction is fine.ranvir shorey acts well in
the movie.its not the best of his performances
but he is watchable.the main lead mallika sherawat dosen't disappoint a bit.she has the dominating grilfriend attitude.she carries off
her role with good reports.overall ugly aur pagli is an average fare which will find its
right place in the audience.

Ugly Aur Pagli has a tolerable first half which somehow or rather predictably nose dives to an uninspired second half. The desi version of the Korean film, “My Sassy Girl†, Ugly aur Pagli could have been appreciable, the tempo of the first half was maintained. Sadly, it doesn’t. A flawed script looms high over the performances and direction of the film. The script and the screenplay of Ugly aur Pagli are the major let downs. The girl Kuhu is almost as characterized as an alien, with no friends. Rare to believe someone as bubbly as her having no friends. Even people who have major attitude problem do have friends. The direction by Sachin Khot is okay. The music by Anu Malik leaves a lot to be desired except for the funky talli number. The placement of songs again creates problems in Ugly aur Pagli, ruining the pace of the film. Ugly aur Pagli is lucky to be a low budget movie. It has already made a profit. The movie made on a budget of 5 crores from Pritish Nandy Communication has been sold to Percept Company for 6 crore. Factor in satellite rights and stuff, Ugly aur Pagli has recovered money and made some. Ugly aud Pagli as a movie however, is a bore.

I went to this movie thing it will be fully funny. But it could not build the laughing tempo. Main drawbacks of the movie. 1. Mallika is not a good actress 2. Like Pappu Ranvir Shouri too can't dance. 3. Ranvir Shouri can't make a romantic looking face. 4. Story took emotional turn in second half. 5. Misplaces song. From tag line movie looked very good. But was big disappointment. Mallika played Kuhu a dominating girlfriend of Kabir (Ranvir). They do lots of weird things together. She moves away from him stating some reason. In the end as usual they come together. Avoid watching this movie. Stay away from malls and multiplexes.
