excellent movie all scenes acted and directed superbly! Rani wonderful acting looked stunning in outfits, Saif excellent acting well crafted and developed characters! The children superb acting wonderful to see young talent! Forget what the critics say they don't know what they are chatting about, come-on the made Dhoom 2 a superhit which had absolutely no script or acting in it and made a movie with emotion like Baabul a flop!Really sad to see Indian cinema going down hill with moves such a Dhoom makes one wonder if Bollywood is trying to copy Hollywood.Overall great movie with excellent acting wonderful songs and chirography Ab to forever super! If you want to see TRUE Indian cinema watch Ta Ra Rum Pum! Definitely one of the best movies released by Yash Raj films!

Tara rum pum...I still cant get the tune out of my head ...after a long time this is one movie that I enjoyed watching...i went in expecting a typical Yash chopra product..scenic locales, glamourous stars, amazing action, mindblowing songs and above all , sugary dialogues that would make a diabetic seem healthy !! well..although all the above ingredients were present, it offered something more..A slice of life...the fact that success is only relative and plan for the future, is propogated through this film... SAIF as a racing car driver is excellent...this is one actor who continues to surprise us with his performances..right from the part where he plays a carefree youngster who aspires to be a car race driver cum spendthrift who blows all his money in throwing parties, to the more successful and confident race driver who spends even more on bigger things like cars, houses and giant tvs and to a traumatised and dejected failure, Saif gets it all right, making the audience emphatise and crictizise him on his irresponsible behaviour...the manner in which his character tries to underline every serious situation with a spot of humour is well potrayed...he is especially impressive in the scene where he tells his wife that he is willing to be humiliated by her father in exchange for money..funny and heartbreaking since we know its for his kids...also his outburst at his being reduced to a cabbie is noteworthy..the director has etched Saif's character such that he strikes a balance between reality and exagerration..his actions are cute, but not overly cute..anger is restrained, melodrama is in spurts...in short, faced with a similar situation, we would probably react in the same manner too !! RANI after a weepy role in KANK comes across as a confident young woman, who is the least impressed with big shining engagement rocks..orders the cheapest wine in the restaurant..and constantly crictisizes her boyfriend/husband on his careless spending..all this inspite of being the daughter of a rich business tycoon !! now thats a first !! anyways, she stands by her husband and family through all the highs and lows ..she teaches her children to smile in the worst of situations and to see the brighter aspects of life..one very heartfelt moment is when she steals party leftovers to feed her children..another strong scene is when she rejects her father's cheque offering support..overall an admirable performance..however, I felt that the chic hairstyle n micro minis in the first half didnt really suit her...but she does manage to set the temp soaring in the "ab to forever" number ! the 2 kids are quite adorable and performance wise are very good. Scenes such as the girl saving lunch money and the boy eating food out of the trash are well handled and makes our heart go out to them.. The director has handled the movie in a sensitive manner, never going overboard with the emotions,which is why we can identify with most of the situations, nor is it too realistic, which makes it high on the entertainment quotient...the racing scenes are a first for bollywood viewers, and are technically well shot and executed..top class..music is good..the animated title song is quite enjoyable and cute..kudos to the director for showing the grittier and seedy side of New York, far removed from the super urban settings of KJo movies...quite a revelation regarding the actual lifestyles led by many of the NRI's in the city of dreams. the climax too is nail biting and apt ..there was a round of applause at the end of it in the theatre...which only proves the effect it had on the viewers.. At the end of the day, Tara Rum Pum is a wholesome entertainer for the entire family, only wish I couldve danced along with the bear family in the animation song !

It was not typical Yash Raj Movie. The theme was good to show the value of money and time but the presentation was awful and illogical. Especially if you are NASCAR Champion and living in USA. I have'nt seen that NASCAR Champ has to skip meals or their kids to earn money for the school fees which was stupid and in the movie it looks ike New York is just one area where everbody lives the way Rani was coincidently seen Saif in almost every area. I would rate this movie way below standard especially from Yash Raj point of view.

Yash Raj factory comes up with a family entertainer Tara Rum Pum. It is not a typical commercial movie with songs and dance, it teaches you a value of life and money.... Rajveer Singh [Saif Ali Khan] works as pit-crew worker with a racing team but dreams to sit in the racing cars one day. But as they say if wanna something bad work for it, R V alias Rajveer achieve his dream with the help of his star manager and friend Harry [Jaaved Jaaferi] and his lady love Radhika [Rani Mukerji] who is daughter of big business man. Radhika thinks you should always think that you should plan for your future and Rajveer loves spending money and never think about the future. But life has a lesson to teach for RV when he loosed one race and get hospitalized for two months. What happens to the great speeder R V ? What life teaches him? Will he become the country’s best racers once again. Well you have to see it !!! I am glad that our Hindi film are maturing with real story about real people. The film teaches us that you should always know the value of money and life cos if u loose them they will never come back. Hats of to the Director Siddharth Raj Anand who tackles the story, the dialogs are best, lyrics is meaninful, songs are soothing and i salute to the team of Tara Rum Pum. Saif is really becoming best actor day by day and Rani, what can we say, she is the Best. The two child stars Angelina Idnani and Ali Haji of the film makes you laugh and cry with them. One the whole Tara Rum Pum is a song which everyone to sing. When you sad, when you feel nothing is happening, then sing along with me Tara Rum PumTara Rum Pum.....

A very novel input to bollywood this year, with many crappy releases like Salaam-E-Ishq and Red, this one made my day after walking out of the cinema. With brilliant performances from the whole cast. Especially Saif,and his daughter, their son is sweet,no doubt about it, but gets annoying after a while. Rani is good, but she cannot compare this movie to Black, Veer-Zaara and Baabul. Vishal-Shekhars music is soothing to the ears, i totally loved Hey Shona and the execution of Ab To Forever is brilliant. Siddarth Raj Annand's direction is commendable, he sensitivley handles the family light and dark moments with incredible maturity. The scene when the two chidren decide not to eat lunch at school and save the money for their fees is tear-jerking. Highly recommended

Rani & Saif have proven to be the best pair of 2007 with the release of Tara Rum Pum. Everything about the movie is great from acting, dancing , songs, story line to the ending. Saif did an amazing job and he was too funny at some point but definitely changes our mood with his serious acting. He was the perfect choice for this role. Rani, well what can I say other than she is the best actress we have today. Her changeover was mind blowing, from sexy bangs and cute skirts to an emotional mother, she stunningly nailed this movie. Not to mention, this girl is GORGEOUS. Kids were also the main part of this movie, I love how sensitive Princess was, the way she took care of the situation on her own was extremely sad. Love the kids! Director did a fantastic job, this is by far THE BEST MOVIE of 2007. Go watch it people, you won't be disapointed.

Tara RumPum is a great movie. I don't know what else people really expect from a movie who give so bad reviews for these kind of movies. All 3 hours I didn't even felt bore for even 2 minutes, what else you waaaaaaaaaaant guys? Atleast support few good movies in bollywood.
