I saw the 3rd show of the first day of MariGold in Muscat. I was intended to see the English version of the film but bad luck the multiplex I chose was showing Hindi version. Anyways, it was nice movie. It's truly a tour to True India. I haven't been there. Ali Later was really impressive. Salman Khan was as usual good and looking handsome & cool. But he looked more handsome in Partner. Ali Larter is my darling. She is truly a MariGold (a flower) and a gorgeous lady. Her acting, her Indian dances are too Good. For a Hollywood actress that much output should be praised. I still could not understand why Taran Adarsh gave negative marks to MariGold. At one point he said Salman Khan was mumbling. I couldn't find the same in entire movie. May be I didn't feel same as I saw the Hindi version. But this is my perception that even in English version he would be good. I like the movie and I believe you would like it too. Try to see the movie in English version first and then go for Hindi version. You would love the hindi version afterwards as it's dubbed excellently. One stage you never think that you are seeing English movie. The lip reading is so good man! Especially the Ali Larter doubbing is worth. Frankly speaking MariGold is made for love couples. Watch it with your belover/or true friend and you would love the movie. Or unless don't see it alone. See it with your friend/family - yes it's a totally family movie. Go see it for the sake of Salman and explore his new experiment and welcome him in the world of Hollywood.

If ever there was a film that was devoid of any imagination or intelligence then this is the one.…
If ever there was a film that was devoid of any imagination or intelligence then this is the one. Marigold is one of those embarrassing films that deserve to have stayed in the cans forever. I use the word "embarrassing" because it's got every single cliché that you'd associate with those bad romantic films of the eighties. Local boy with heart of gold falls for brash girl from big city. He draws out the sensitive side in her and promises her a happily ever after storybook ending. But then comes parental opposition, even a love triangle thrown in for good measure, and yuck, believe it or not, there's also that typical scene in which a desperate father begs his son's girlfriend to vanish from his son's life because he has already chosen a wife for his son. It is the film's third-rate script that is its biggest failing. The film's dialogue is so clunky, so verbose and so unfriendly, you want to throw your arms around the actors out of sympathy for even attempting to deliver those lines with a straight face. What's really sad about Marigold actually is the fact that the problems don't end with the script. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's music is a sore disappointment, there's not one song on the soundtrack that's actually hummable. And Anil Mehta's cinematography is so flat, you cannot believe this is the same man who shot Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Lagaan so dramatically. American actress Ali Larter is stiff and uninspired and fails to make much of an impression. But it's Salman Khan you really want to smack for wasting both his time and ours participating in an idiotic film like this which only makes us look like idiots in front of millions. Salman, dear Salman, your ticket to Hollywood, this is sadly not. At best this film is unintentionally funny because it's so way off the mark. Technically too, it's a tacky production complete with ridiculous motifs that are used as transitions between one scene and another. Believe me it's a film so bad, it makes that mediocre Aishwarya Rai film Bride & Prejudice seem like Citizen Kane in comparison.

The movie was nice. It is not as what Taran Adarsh writes. Last week Taran Adarsh says that Chak de India isn't a good movie, now the same for Marigold. May be he doesn't know how to differentiate between good, best and bad. or you are against the KHAN!!! Chak de india was a pretty movie, a must watch one. Same apply for Marigold, a well made picture with lovely musics. **Yeh Pyaar Hai(That's Love** is owesome, music and dance **Listen To The Music(English)** was fantastic. It is something different. May be he can't understand English well that why his found those accents diffcult. Salman acting was pretty good. Good attempt in hollywood. CONGRATS Salman. Sometimes we need changes, we can't just watch movies, "parents again lovers, boys run after girls"... This two film is in different style. Ali Larter was superb. We rarely watch movie in english with bollywood artist, that why you found it difficult to understand. Marigold is made for America not for India, otherwise it might be double in hindi. Marigold did well in America which is something new for them. Read a bit Taran...
