Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is a story of two strangers who posed to be engaged when they meet, only to fall in love with each other.

The elite Alvira meets the rowdy Rikki by chance at a cafe and to save herself from his flirtatious moves, weaves a world of her own... fantasy as she talks about her perfect love story with lawyer Steve Singh. Getting back at her is Rikki who too fakes his engagement with Anaida, a figment of his own imagination. Though the two part ways as friends, they realize that they have fallen in love with each other.
