A disillusioned Rajguru (Sohrab Modi) leaves Jhansi after Gangadhar Rao (Mubarak) makes a questionable compromise with the British and ascends its' throne. While in Bijnor, Rajguru is impressed by a 9-year old Brahman girl from a Peshwa family, Manu (Baby Shikha), convinces her father, Moropant (Kamlakar) to permit her to get married to a 50 Gangadhar. The marriage takes place and shortly thereafter he trains her in all aspects of warfare, history as well as the Bhagwad Geeta for a period of 10 years. Thus armed she rules besides Gangadhar, and shortly thereafter gives birth to a son - only to face tragedy when he unexpectedly passes away. Unable to bear this loss, her husband names Kunwar Damodar Rao (Master Saleem) as his heir, becomes ill, and after a confrontation with Sadashiv (Ramsingh), passes away. Despite of strong opposition from the British, she goes ahead with the coronation ceremony - not knowing that the willy Sadashiv has joined forces with the British High Command, blame her for killing innocent civilians, and together they are all set to attack Jhansi.
