Well aren't the expectations here sky high?! And there's no point beating around the bush because Pritam has done a good (not great) but a damn good job. How? Well the title song VACANCY is brilliant. Pritam obviously knew Vishal & Shekhar obviously got it right with the catchy golmaal golmaal chorus in the first people and just couldn't help using it in this one, as well as creating his own catchy golmaal golmaal chorus! Yes, with Niraj Shridhar at vocals this is a brilliant foot tapping song that is just as catchy as the original title song. Expectations are even higher for the song... ...and are they met? hmm...well if you like a dash of reggae, hinglish, R&B and soulja boy then THA KAR KE is the track for you. No doubt a foot tapping song, THA KAR KE is quite annoying first, but it quickly grows on you. So don't just press skip on your ipod! Give it a try. Niraj Shridhar will once again intrance you with his vocals! MEOW...is the next track and its amazing to see how the album started so brilliantly and stoops a new level of low so quickly. Clearly Pritam ran out of ideas, because MEOW is awful. A pathetic attempt at trying something new MEOW is not so hot. And finally we have TU SAALA, anything would sound better than MEOW so expectations are zilch. But TU SAALA is quite catchy and grows on you slowly, Sunidhi Chauhan is great here and its clearly a fun song so have a few listens, you may just like it. All the remixes make no difference seeing as all the songs are pretty fast anyway, add a bit of bass here and there with extra rhythm and you get a few decent remixes. Hah, MEOW even has its own english version, why they did that...well who knows? Whats that I here you say? 4 songs only! Well let me just say that Mr.Pritam has been sneaky and thrown in the original Golmaal album for good measure. And why not, what a brilliant album it was. Buy the Golmaal Returns album if you dont already have the original album, because that plus VACANCY and THA KAR KE is great! But as its own album Golmaal Returns just doesnt make the cut. Well atleast the old album is there right?! (Note how I rated the album as 5, the only reason being is BECAUSE OF THE OLD ALBUM!)

Pritam has been doing a great job lately hit after hit. All the songs and remixes are great except for meow, tu saala, and vacancy. Those three songs seem extremely stupid and two just seem just for kareena. Hopefully this movie is not based around kareena. One song that gets stuck in you head is tha kar ke. My review there are a few selective songs thats it.

Overall, the best of Pritam has gone off and Golmaal Returns seconds that. The best song Thaa Karke is not by him and by some newcomer. Tu Saala is Pritam's best song, but Vishal-Shekhars Golmaal was much better than this. This album had not been really hyped, but altogether, it can reach the Top 10 of the charts but not the Top 5 for 3-4 weeks. Vacancy is total pakaao with no sense in the lyrics. It starts of a like"Lets carry on with Golmaal...." and then it is Yahaan Vahaan Har Jaga Laakhon hain Haseena...." which makes it a love song. So poor show by Sameer. Meow and the English version are also bad so this is just another average one like Jannat. I know most people will say Jannat rocked and stuff... but I don't agree. Jannat had 2 great songs. Judaai and Haan Tu Hain and 1 average Zara Si. But the rest sucked. And Judaai wasnt even by Pritam, it was by a Pakistani guy Kamran Ahmed(So was Lambi Judaai). Pritam is on a slide after Singh Is Kinng. Average!
