Taran Adarsh Intelligent cinema is not ur cup of tea! If Dev D is No Smoking 2, I am glad Anurag stuck tho his instinct. Anurag is one of the best storytellers we have. He tells story rather than pot boilers. I truly believe if he was in Hollywood, he would ve been something BIG. He makes black abstract movies like Fargo, Eternal Sunshine of spotless mind, etc which are not ur cup of tea. U give an idiotic movie like GHAJINI 4 stars and a different one 1 star?? This shows that movie makers are right. Critics dont exist in India!!! Dev.D represents urban India. What do u think lovers dont exchange nude pics or indulge in cam sex? They dont have sex just for kicks? They dont get depressed? Abhay is good and Mahi is too sexy. Dont listen to Taran and go for it. Directors like Anurag need encouragement.

Only to write review for this film ,i have login for the first time.First of all taran adarsh should understand that movies are not about shahrukh,hrithik and aamir khan and salman khan.he is very biased to give one star to movies like DEV d .I think this is an excellent movie and anurag kashyap has done it again.Its a modern devdas and this is what is happeneing in todays society and his depiction not bad at all and execution is near to perfection.

ANurag Kashyap is one of the best directors we have in India, no doubt about that, but the fact that he just sticks to his ideals nd his thinking of making a film despite all odds is what i respect the most in him. DevD is awsomeeeeeee. Because we know the outline of devdas that's why a lil bit of expectedness is there all over the movie, but the fantastic thing is, if u dnt follow the movie story as a whole but see the scenes as pieces of cinema, they are just brilliant. humour, emotions, suspense, evrything is packed, but nt in the entirety but in portions. so u can;t classify this movie into a particular genre except it being a kashyap's movie. i personally loved the movie and mera paisa vasool ho gaya.
