SHAHRUK should learn from ABHAY DEOL that "kaise DEVDAS ka role nibhaya jata hai"..... after this INDIANs are not going to take any shits like RNBDJ & GHAJINI. Well guyz, this is a supercool movie... plz note .. u need guts to make such movies n hv an aprtite to watch this movie.. it's trendy. I guess this movie is str8 comparable to any good movie in hollywood.. anurag's style is just gr888.... i liked music too.. wht a gr8 songs ... all 3 lead starts hv done gr888 job... I wonder now if Anurag comes up with yet another stupidious idea of Contemporary Sholay or MOther India...Agreed that you want to show something real diffrent to the audience, but how could you use such great works of Indian Cinema and just rotten them?? This new version of DevDas is a shame on the Indian Film Industry.. Though the canvas is a rich one and the film has been veryy nicely shot.. But again where is the justification of an attempt to make a memorable DevDas??? Lifted from Devdas, the story of DevD addson two real life instances.. One of the DPS School MMS & another of the BMW hit and run case.. But again, it looked as if the film is a complete fastforward.. Abhay Deol has however managd to act well this time atleast.. Mahie Gill the new girl is just amazing and has performed out of the world. Infact the first half of the film isn't bad enough and the reason being Paaro, i.e Mahie ofcourse... Kalki, or better call her 'Kalankani' on acting. You better stick to being Anurag's Girl instead of Girl next door in acting.. SHe is just so bad on the screen.. Music of the film is a thump.. But again shame on Anurag that he wastes two very powerful songs sung by Labh Janjua, i.e HikkNaal and Mahi Meinu, as they have just no connectivity with the film... Dialougues could have ben far better and never needed to be so vuilgar.. Hey Anurag ... Did u have a quarrel with some one??? The Climax shows Abhay's inner self being aroused and he feels woken up of the mistakes he was doing... WOw... What a way to turn the tables around... I am glad Anurag just restricted to Dev Das and not Ramayan or Mahabharat else it would have been a Mayhem.. Gud to watch if u like different n classy cinema. Obviously cant b seen wid family coz of d language n dialogues but it surely is worth a watch. Abhay is v.gud (very close to his best), paro gal is brilliant, terrific. chanda gal is average or just above, music is fantasic. dont miss it
