It's a simple love story betwwen two childhood friends and Director has done great job with good location in Autraliya. Story is simple just ok that we see in Bollywood movies. first half is good with good comedy n songs also but after interval story is bouring and quit slow. Not much in secound half and in climax also.. But I must say Imran n Deepika acted very well and it's good for movie.

Once Upon a time, somewhere in India, a man saw DDLJ, K3G, KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI, SALAAM NAMASTE and finally LOVE AAJ KAL.. to name a few… after watching these wonderful flicks… he thought, “I can make a movie tooâ€.. so he wrote a story… but he didn’t know that he was actually re-writing the scripts of these movies in his own style… he got confused in between and mixed-up all the movies into one.. that day, BREAK KE BAAD(BKB) script got completed.. so basically the debutant director, Danish Aslam, intentionally showed us what we have seen many times before.. BKB is a movie heavily borrowed from above mentioned movies.. then too fails to captured the real essence… Imran Khan acted well, Deepika too shows us her acting skills, bt fails in emotional scenes… Music is good, Background Score is descent enough, whahtever u see(I mean cinematography) is beautiful, the visuals captured in Australia are breath-taking… but it has only got face value and no inner-depth(meaning script). The title of the movie never really got justified anywhere in the film. While watching the film, you will never know where the movie is heading.. and after a point you will be screaming, “what the hell is happening hereâ€.. it is very much predictable.. and even a movie junkie like me didn’t like it, then I’m pretty sure a you might not like it at all and wants to leave the theatre in between… I recommand not to waste your money and times… and just wait a little to watch the movie on its TV premiere.. then too if only you can tolerate it…

Aaliya Khan (Deepika Padukone) and Abhay Gulati (Imran Khan) have watched the movie ‘Mr. India’…
Aaliya Khan (Deepika Padukone) and Abhay Gulati (Imran Khan) have watched the movie ‘Mr. India’ 10 times eksaath since they were four-year-old kids. Growing up on a staple nutrition of Bollywood movies, their relation matures to love from being friends though Aaliya would never spare a single chance to make a laughing-stock of Gulati’s filmy dialogues. Nearly when things are fine and Abhay doesn’t know what to do in life, the enterprising actress in Aaliya clashes with the undirected mind of a mad-in-love Abhay. ‘Break Ke Baad’ moves to Australia now where Aaliya is pursuing her dreams and shares her apartment with Nadia (Shahana Goswami) and Cyrus (Yudhishtr Urs). Hanging by thread, a convinced Romeo - Gulati, lands up in Australia too for reasons that add finishing touches to their ‘little break’. That’s ‘Break Ke Baad’ for you – a remake of ‘I Hate Luv Stories’ in some sense. Don’t go by the rolling credits. They are tempting and equally deceiving. Director Danish Aslam is a firm believer in taking risks and so he did with ‘Break Ke Baad’ and propagated the gravity of being a risk-taker in the movie. The movie is one of the cases where the risk backfires on you for being a dumbass of supreme quality. Not only the screenplay by the director and Renuka Kunzru is painfully messed up everywhere, all the characters in the movie have been totally wasted without any discrimination. The statement applies more to Sharmila Tagore and Shahana Goswami, the latter being the only saving grace in the film. It doesn’t end there. Even a no-story movie works if there is continuity in the ‘story’ and the packaging is done well. Visual Appeal carries a lot of responsibilities on its fragile shoulders. The junta expects to see a dishy Deepika and the flipside of being a lesser eye candy could be the disappointment i brought along from the theatre. Should i even discuss cinematography and music of the movie? Deepika’s acting score peaked with ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ from where the score has shown no sense of direction. After ‘Break Ke Baad’, i would say that her repeated vibrant act is taking her nowhere as an actress. Imran, despite being a sincere actor, has not matured much since ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’. The idea of dealing with breakup in a funny way is actually a good one but not the ‘Break Ke Baad’ way. Could you guys take a break and not make any movies till you learn the art of it? Look at what a piece of work ‘The Social Network’ is! Though i have doubts, but i hope you will emerge wiser break ke baad.

Deepika rocks, movie sucks. Well, a little more to it actually. Imran disappoints once again, and I am starting to believe it's just the way he looks maybe... he just cannot bring out the passion in a relationship, he's like a brother to one and all! And Deepika, while she looks smoking hot in whatever she wears, is starting to get type cast into these larger than life roles. Story sucks too. Meanders all along, especially break ke baad! A very ordinary sound track - you'll not remember it for long. Overall unavoidable for Deepika, but avoidable for everything else.

hmmmm ..... this movie seriously disappointed me, i mean i was not expecting any thing great from it but just the idea of taking a break.... i thought will be new and nice to watch, well it was but not the rest of the movie. The Worst Good Looking Movie of 2010. Imran Khan's IHLS was way much better, as people were comparing it to Love Aaj Kal so i will say LAK was terrific.... its not close to that. enough of Imran khan i think he need to TAKE A BREAK from these kind of movies please ..... Deepika on the other hand should stop working so much, she did different this year with Lafangay Parindey and upcoming KHJJS. she was also great in LAK. but this Teen Rom Com just didn't work, it simply sucks. Danish Aslam, the Debutant director i hoped will do good but .... and the producer ofcourse but ...... Deepika and Imran were decent in the movie, not bad. Songs are good. the story looks ok but the screenplay sucks really bad and it lacks everything, it gets pathetically boring after a while and then completely unbearable to watch. so in a nutshell .... completely forgettable movie, not even good to watch once. NOT RECOMMENDED at all.
