Shilpa Shetty Kundra joins Sanjay Dutt and Dhruva Sarja in KD – The Devil, see first look

The makers of filmmaker Prem’s KD – The Devil have announced Shilpa Shetty Kundra as the latest cast member for their film on the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa. Starring Dhruva Sarja in the lead, the film also stars Ravichandra and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. KD – The Devil is a Kannada movie that will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

The makers have also released Shilpa’s look as Satyavati from the period entertainer based in the 1970s. As per the makers, the film is based on actual events that took place in Bengaluru in that particular decade.  Going with the theme and the timeline of the film, Shilpa is seen wearing a saree with her hairstyle and sun glasses oozing the bygone era. The presence of a vintage car behind her also reminds us of the 1970s.

 

Sharing more about the film, Shilpa said in a statement, “A war is fought between kingdoms and every kingdom needs a Satyavati. I’m so excited and pumped to join the KD battlefield and step into this powerful role.”

 

 

KD – The Devil is yet another south film for Sanjay Dutt after the all-time blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. Speaking about the passion of the south film industry and his association with KD – The Devil, Dutt had said last year, “KD has an amazing teaser. I know one thing that I have done KGF and SS Rajamouli sir is a dear friend. I see so much passion, love, energy, and heroism in the films made in the South. I think we need to learn that back in Mumbai. Bollywood must not forget its roots.”
