Pushpa effect: Allu Arjun, who used to charge Rs. 35 lakhs for brand endorsements, now charges Rs. 6 crore a day: Report

The South stars always had a loyal and huge fan following. But since the Pan-India trend came into motion, their fandom has gone up manifold, especially if their films did well in the Hindi dubbed version. And with the rise in popularity comes the rise in brand endorsement charges. A report in The Economic Times, dated November 13, talks about this aspect and also reveals details about the fees charged by certain actors.

Allu Arjun became a force to reckon with after the blockbuster success of Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01 (2021) in Hindi. The report cites a source from a jewellery brand who claims that the dashing actor used to charge Rs. 35 lakhs a few years ago. Thanks to the popularity of Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, he has hiked his fees up to Rs. 6 crores a day. Many other South stars, who similarly became popular, are now charging 8 times more than their price 2 years ago.

 

The report further states that Madhuri Dixit Nene charges Rs. 1 crore for 8 hours while Nayanthara’s fees are Rs. 5 crores for brand partnerships. Kiara Advani’s price is Rs. 1.5-2 crores per day and this includes photoshoots, store inaugurations, attending events related to the brand, etc.

 

 

However, the source in the article claimed that several actors charge around Rs. 8 crores a day and even then they put stringent conditions. These conditions include not giving more than three days a year for work related to their endorsed brand, not changing more than two costumes a day, working for 8 hours a day, including travel time, etc.

 

Coming back to Allu Arjun, the superstar is currently working on the sequel to his 2021 action entertainer, Pushpa 2 – The Rule. It will be released in multiple languages on August 15, 2024. Needless to say, it is one of the highly awaited films next year. Besides Allu, it also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
