November 2023 brings with it a new set of promising stories. From slice of life to thrillers, from historical fiction to soft romance, November has it all. Fan favorites like Park Bo Young, Song Kang, Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Yeon Seok are making a comeback to the small screen in new avatars. There’s something for a fan of each genre. What are you picking from these upcoming K-dramas releasing in the month of November 2023?

MOON IN THE DAY

 

Were you thinking there needs to be one more historical K-drama in the list? Well, Moon in the Day is just the addition then. Starring Kim Young Dae in a dual role, first as a vengeful spirit of a nobleman named Do Ha from the Silla dynasty and second as a top star Han Joon Oh with an inferiority complex. Do Ha possesses Joon Oh’s body after the latter gets injured in an accident. Kang Yong Hwa, a firefighter, saves Do Ha and later becomes his bodyguard. Twist is, Do Ha was killed by his wife Han Ri Ta and Yong Hwa is the spitting image of Do Ha’s killer wife. Moon in the Day is adapted from a webtoon and is slated for release on November 1, 2023. It was initially slated to release on October 25, 2023.

 

DAILY DOSE OF SUNSHINE

 

Park Bo Young whom we dearly missed is finally making a comeback. She will appear in the K-drama Daily Dose of Sunshine as Jung Da Eun, a nurse who is newly transferred to the psychiatry ward and faces a challenge to fit into her duties. She befriends the head nurse Song Hyo Jin and the proctologist Do Go Yoon. She is also close to Song Yoo Chan who has secrets of his own. Daily Dose of Sunshine will premiere on Netflix on November 3, 2023.

 

VIGILANTE

 

November seems like a comeback month for all fan favourite actors. Nam Joo Hyuk returns with Vigilante. He plays the role of Kim Ji Young, a young police recruit who harbours anger against all that is bad in the society. He is also after finding his mother’s murderer. This K-drama is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on November 8, 2023.

 

GORYEO-KHITAN WAR

 

The drama starring Kim Dong Jun, based on true historical events, will follow the story of King Hyeon Jong of Goryeo and his Commander-in-Chief Gang Gam Chan (Choi Soo Jong), who unite the people of Goryeo and lead the war against the Khitan Empire. The series will premiere on November 11, 2023.

 

SECRET PLAYLIST

 

Kim Hyang Gi and newcomer Shin Hyun Seung star in Secret Playlist. The drama tells the romance story between Song Han Ju (played by Kim Hyang Gi), a YouTube musician with the name PLII. Shin Hyun Seung stars as Lee Do Guk, a member of a boy band who wishes to collaborate with PLII. Soon, romance blooms between the two. Secret Playlist is adapted from a webtoon and is slated to release on November 18, 2023. It is co-produced by Hulu Japan.

 



 


 

A BLOODY LUCKY DAY

 

It seems like the second half of 2023 is blessed to have at least one new thriller K-drama each month with morally gray characters. Yoo Yeon Seok whom we have seen play a lot of bubbly and comic roles returns to the small screen with A Bloody Lucky Day as a psychotic killer named Geum Hyeok Soo. Lee Seung Min stars as Oh Taek, a taxi driver, who one day finds Geum Hyeok Soo as his ride. A mother of one of Geum’s victims tries to track him down. A Bloody Lucky Day is scheduled to release on November 20, 2023.

 

ONCE UPON A BOYHOOD

 

Im Si Wan has had a slew of slice-of-life dramas in recent months. Now, he is back with another such drama. He stars as Jang Byung Tae who transfers to an agricultural school in the country after struggling at school in the city side. This show is set in the 1980s. It is set to release on November 24, 2023.

 


 


 

MY DEMON

 

Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang are paired on screen for the first time in the fantasy romance drama My Demon. The K-drama tells the story of Do Do Hee, a rich hotel empire heiress who does not trust anyone and does not believe in love either. She enters into a fake marriage with the demon Jung Gu Won, who lives after tricking humans with unbelievable deals. After the marriage, Gu Won loses his power and must protect Do Hee to save himself. My Demon is slated to release on November 24, 2023.

 

THE STORY OF PARK’S MARRIAGE CONTRACT

 

Lee Se Young and Bae In Hyuk come together in a period drama this month. A young woman named Park Yeon Woo’s husband dies on their wedding day. She is then kidnapped and thrown into a well. After she gains consciousness she finds herself in present day Seoul. She is saved from a swimming pool by Kang Tae Ha. He is the successor to a conglomerate with no interest in romance. He enters into a contract marriage with Park Yeon Woo to fulfill his ailing grandfather’s wishes. The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract is adapted from a webtoon and is slated to release on November 24, 2023.

 

TELL ME THAT YOU LOVE ME

 

You loved her in Hospital Playlist and Reborn Rich, get ready to be charmed once again in Tell Me That You Love Me. She plays the role of Jung Mo Eun, an aspiring actress who meets Cha Jin Woo (played by Jung Woo Sung), a man with speech troubles because of his hearing impairment. As time passes, the two grow close and face challenges within their relationship and outside of it. Tell Me That You Love Me is slated to release on November 27, 2023.
