Deadpool & Wolverine screening ignites San Diego Comic-Con 2024; Hall H witnesses Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Chris Evans, Channing Tatum, Jennifer Garner and more
San Diego Comic-Con 2024 kicked off with a bang unlike any before. The Hall H was filled with anticipation, not just for the usual panels and reveals, but for a surprise screening of the highly-anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans buzzed with excitement as rumours of a hidden treat swirled through the crowd. Their suspicions were confirmed in the most electrifying way possible. Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, and director/writer/producer Shawn Levy took the stage alongside Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
According to Deadline, the crowd erupted in cheers, the energy palpable as anticipation soared. “Why, watching a surprise screening of Deadpool & Wolverine,” Reynolds quipped. A short, hilarious chat ensued, further amping up the excitement before the lights dimmed and the roar of the projector filled the hall.
As the credits rolled and the lights flickered back on, a standing ovation thundered through Hall H. The crowd buzzed with excitement, eagerly dissecting the on-screen cameos that had been teased earlier. Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans, and Dafne Keen were all called out.
Kevin Feige took the opportunity to add to the night's excitement. He advised the crowd to keep their eyes peeled towards the San Diego sky, hinting at a potential drone show to cap off this historic evening.
Deadpool & Wolverine hit theatres on July 26, 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
