This morning, the news broke that India’s two biggest telecom industries, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, have decided to merge to create the country’s biggest phone company, by subscriber base. We all know that Idea’s brand ambassador is Abhishek Bachchan whereas Vodafone ads have showcased a pug named Cheeka. Abhishek has not done many movies in the past few years but has featured in several of Idea’s brand advertisements. As India’s two telecom companies are to merge now, does this mean that Abhishek’s job is in trouble because of a dog?
