When asked whether her proficiency in languages is inherited from her mother, author Shweta Bachchan, Navya responded, “I don't know. I think that it is in our blood. Writing skills have always been our part. Even diction and speaking both in English and Hindi, especially. It is a little annoying because people get shocked when I talk in Hindi. They ask me, ‘Oh you know Hindi?’ This is a very basic thing, that you must know your language, I don't know why people get shocked.”

Navya Naveli Nanda hails from a lineage deeply rooted in Hindi literature, with her paternal great-grandfather being the renowned Hindi poet and writer, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The entrepreneur's sentiments highlight the importance of embracing one's cultural and linguistic heritage, advocating for the understanding that proficiency in one's mother tongue should be considered a basic skill rather than a surprising feat.
