Shah Rukh Khan, who had a humble beginning to his acting career with TV show Fauji, has gone on to build an unmatched legacy. But that did not kill his humility. He is known to be an actor with plenty of love and respect for his own craft, and considers it important to derive satisfaction from his work.

SRK delivered one of his most notable performances in the 2000 film Hey Ram, directed by Kamal Hasaan. However, many would be surprised to know that he didn't get paid a single penny to act in the film, which went on to become a cult one! In an old interview with a channel, Hasaan revealed that SRK was well-aware about the budget Hey Ram was being made in, but still wanted to be a part of the film. All he received as remuneration for the film was a wrist watch! The director also said that such things weren't going to happen in the future.

 

The actor, who was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero, is taking his own sweet time before he announces his next project. We hear he might sign a film with Rajkumar Hirani and is also in talks with Raj and DK for a project.
