The scene in question depicted Mallikajaan's cruelty as she strangled Phatto bi while rejecting her plea. Speaking about this intense moment, Jayati revealed, "That scene had to depict Mallikajaan's cruelty and Sanjay sir wanted to showcase how effortlessly threatening she can be and wouldn't even spare someone so loyal to her for years."

 

Initially conceived as a slap scene, Jayati disclosed Manisha Koirala's concerns about causing her any discomfort during filming. Despite reassurances from Jayati, Manisha remained vigilant about her co-star's well-being. Eventually, the scene evolved into a gripping portrayal of Mallikajaan's character, highlighting her multifaceted nature.

 

Jayati also expressed her admiration for Manisha Koirala, describing her as an inspiring figure both on and off-screen. She praised Manisha's dedication to her craft and recounted the enriching experience of working alongside the accomplished actress. Furthermore, Jayati reflected on her collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, describing it as a profound learning journey marked by the director's visionary approach and attention to detail.
