Prime Video today launched the action-packed trailer of the Amazon Original series Indian Police Force. The upcoming takes the audiences to the next chapter of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. Created by Shetty and directed by him and Sushwanth Prakash, the cop action drama marks Shetty’s digital directorial debut and is headlined by Sidharth Malhotra. Besides Malhotra, the ensemble cast also boasts Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi, Lalit Parimoo in pivotal roles. The trailer was launched on January 5, 2024, in Mumbai.

At the press conference on Friday, Sidharth Malhotra praised Rohit Shetty for presenting the heroes in larger-than-life avatars. He said, “I get to wear uniform for the first time which is our police force. I get to work with Rohit Shetty who comes with his larger-than-life sensibilities. He added, "About two years ago, when I met Rohit. he said that ‘I am making something for cop universe’. I said, ‘Great!’ But, he said it is on OTT and I was like ‘Oh!’ But then he showed his vision and when I heard the story and everything came through, it speaks for itself. The trailer speaks for itself. It is nothing short of Hindi cinema entertainment that he brings to you but on this platform.”

 

The trailer takes viewers on a nail-biting ride through various cityscapes, each frame heightening the suspense with a ticking bomb clock that ultimately culminates in explosive blasts. Amidst this looming danger, the cop drama unfolds, showcasing a thrilling chase led by our courageous protagonists - Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Together, they confront the masterminds behind the bomb blasts, bravely navigating the chaos to safeguard the city from imminent threats, embodying a profound sense of patriotism.

 

The seven-episode series is set to premiere on January 19, 2024, on Prime Video.
