Huma Qureshi's Bayaan, Angelina Jolie’s Couture, Oscar favourite Sentimental Value to premiere in India at Red Lorry Film Festival; Ram Gopal Varma to present Bhoot; Rang De Basanti, Satyakam Old Boy, Memento etc to be screened

The schedule of the second edition of the Red Lorry Film Festival 2026, which will be held between March 13-15, 2026, has been released. In this article, Bollywood Hungama will list some of the notable films to be shown at the festival, which will be held in Mumbai.

Upcoming films

 

The Huma Qureshi-starrer Bayaan will have its India premiere at the Red Lorry Film Festival. It was screened at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), alongside Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound and Anurag Kashyap's Bobby Deol-starrer Bandar, among others. In Bayaan, Huma Qureshi plays the role of a rookie police officer in Rajasthan who's investigating the case of a 'Maharaj' or a cult leader (played by Chandrachur Singh), who has raped countless girls in his aashram.

 

Bayaan is produced by Shiladitya Bora, whose cross-cultural Marathi film, Toh Ti Ani Fuji, will also be screened at the festival. It is directed by Mohit Takalkar, who recently impressed the audience as Rasheed in Kennedy. The film stars Lalit Prabhakar and Mrinmayee Godbole and has been extensively shot in Japan.

 

Besides, audiences in India will get to watch Angelina Jolie’s Couture and Dane DeHaa-Sasha Calle starrer Wardriver – films that are yet to release in most major markets in the world.

 

Non-Indian titles to look forward to

 

Red Lorry Film Festival 2026 will also screen international films which didn’t get a theatrical release in India. Some of the films in this category are the Bradley Cooper-starrer Is This Thing On, Brendan Fraser-Takehiro Hira’s acclaimed film Rental Family, Amanda Seyfried-starrer The Testament of Ann Lee etc.

 

As for non-English films, the biggest attraction is the Norwegian film, Sentimental Value. It has earned 9 Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and two Best Supporting Actress nominations. The Oscar-nominated Spanish film, Sirāt, will also be played at the festival. Another film to watch out for is the Korean black comedy, No Other Choice. It didn’t make it to the final list of the Best International Feature Film nominations at the 98th Academy Awards. Nevertheless, it continues to be popular thanks to the extremely positive word of mouth.

 

 

Old classics

 

Rang De Basanti, which completed 20 years in January 2026, and Gadar, which will complete 25 glorious years in June this year, will be screened. Ram Gopal Varma’s much-loved films like Bhoot and Shiva will also be presented on the big screen. Dharmendra will be remembered with the screening of Satyakam. Those who want to experience Madhubala in all her glory should not miss Barsaat Ki Raat. Another interesting film in the list is the Marathi romcom, Mumbai Pune Mumbai. Meanwhile, a retrospective celebrating Pradip Krishen will showcase three of his memorable films – the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, Electric Moon, and Massey Sahib.

 

From Hollywood, classics, which will be shown to the audience, are Memento, Roman Holiday, The Sound Of Music, When Harry Met Sally, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Jaws, Léon: The Professional etc.

 

From South Korea, three films have made it to the coveted list – A Tale of Two Sisters, I Saw The Devil and Old Boy.

 

Meet the team

 

Meanwhile, actors and filmmakers associated with some of the films will also be present. Ram Gopal Varma will attend the screening of Bhoot and also speak about his experiences. Raghubir Yadav will grace the screening of Massey Sahib, while Pradip Krishen will be seen for the screening of In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones. The entire cast and crew of Bayaan and Toh Ti Ani Fuji will be present at the premiere of their respective films. Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve will meet the fans of Mumbai Pune Mumbai. Lastly, Sriram Raghavan will present the Flemish thriller, Night Creatures.

 

The team of Red Lorry Film Festival 2026 is yet to announce the opening and closing films. It will be interesting to see which film, Indian or international, gets selected for these two slots.
