Veteran actor and filmmaker Boman Irani witnessed an unforgettable moment at Spoken Fest when his directorial debut, The Mehta Boys, received an overwhelming response from a packed audience. The two-day festival, known for celebrating some of India’s most compelling voices across storytelling, poetry and performance, turned into a deeply personal milestone for the actor.

The crowd erupted into loud cheers, creating an electric atmosphere that left Irani visibly surprised.

 

Taking to Instagram to share the moment, the actor wrote, “This moment gave me a high I cannot express… 5000 Spoken enthusiasts reacted in unison to the mention of our baby, ‘The Mehta Boys.’ It was an endorsement of love and appreciation, treating the film like it was a rock band!!! For Irani, who stepped into the director’s chair for the first time with the film, the public validation appears to hold special significance. On the professional front, Boman Irani has a packed schedule ahead. He has recently wrapped the Delhi schedule of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 and will next be seen in Haiwaan alongside Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. He is also part of Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi, slated for release on April 30.
