Bollywood Hungama Best of 2023: Ranbir Kapoor walks away with Best Actor honour; Alia Bhatt, Vikrant Massey and Saiyami Kher win as well

With 2022 not being good for the Bollywood industry, a lot of questions were being asked about the choice of audiences for the big screen after the boom of OTT during the COVID-19 pandemic. But right from the start of 2023, it became clear that the theatrical business is here to stay with several films becoming successful and a few becoming all-time blockbusters.

The year ended with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal becoming a mammoth blockbuster. The film was blessed by Ranbir Kapoor’s electrifying performance. He has been bestowed with the Best Actor honour for that film in Part 5 of Bollywood Hungama’s Best of 2023. His wife and prolific actress Alia Bhatt walked away with the Best Actress for her act in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

 

Vikrant Massey’s heartfelt act in 12th Fail has given him the Best Actor Critics honour. On the other hand, Saiyami Kher’s performance in the sports movie Ghoomer has earned her the Best Actress Critics honour.

 

Best Actor (Male) - Ranbir Kapoor – Animal

 

 

Ranbir Kapoor roared like an animal in every frame of Animal. One couldn’t help but applaud what turned out to be his career best performance.

 

Best Actor (Critics' - Male) - Vikrant Massey - 12th Fail

 

 

Vikrant Massey poured his heart out while playing an aspiring IPS officer against all odds in 12th Fail. His act moved one and all.

 

Best Actor (Female) - Alia Bhatt - Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani

 

 

Over the years, Alia Bhatt has acquired a habit of delivering high-quality performances. She continued to do that with Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

 

Best Actress (Critics' - Female) - Saiyami Kher - Ghoomer

 

 

Saiyami Kher is known for playing cricket in real life but in Ghoomer, she had to play a physically challenged cricketer. She overcame the mammoth challenge and moved a lot of hearts by doing that.
