Actress Bhumi Pednekkar recently attended the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting for future leaders in Dubai, where she marked an important milestone by graduating from the Young Global Leaders (YGL) community, Class of 2024. The actress shared a series of pictures from the gathering on social media, along with a note reflecting on her experience and the connections she has made through the community.
Describing the past few days as “fulfilling, rejuvenating and full of purpose,” Bhumi spoke about the opportunity to meet people from different fields who share a common goal of making a positive difference in the world. “I always walk away with newer ideas, exciting possibilities, potential collaborations, and friendships that I know will stay with me for a long time. Bhumi also shared why this year's gathering was particularly meaningful for her, as she officially graduated from the programme and became a YGL alumna. “This year was extra special. I graduated and officially became a YGL Alumni, Class of 2024. While one chapter may have come to a close, the journey, the learning, and the community continue,” she said.
Reflecting on the people she has met through the initiative, the actress highlighted how the community encourages its members to learn from one another while remaining committed to their individual goals. “These are the people who give you wings and encourage you to fly, while also keeping you grounded when you need it most. And perhaps that’s what makes this community so special, you leave feeling inspired by what others are doing, challenged to do more yourself, and reminded of how much there still is to learn,” she added.
