Anupam Kher calls Gadar 2 a “Tsunami of emotions”; says, “Sunny Deol is a cult in himself”
Veteran actor Anupam Kher has heaped praise on the recently released film Gadar 2, calling it a "tsunami of emotions". The actor took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the Sunny Deol starrer, saying that it is a "roller coaster ride of what it means to be a proud Indian".
Kher also praised the performances of the cast, particularly Sunny Deol, who he said is "not an actor anymore, but a cult in himself". He also lauded the work of director Anil Sharma, saying that he has taken the audience on a "raw joyride".
“It takes you on a roller coaster ride of what it means to be a proud Indian. In fact, it celebrates the multi culture/ multi religion facet of our country. It is cathartic. Crowds scream their guts out at every dialogue,” read an excerpt of his tweet.
Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was also a huge success. The film stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles. It tells the story of a Sikh man who falls in love with a Muslim woman and how they fight for their love against all odds.
The film has been receiving rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It has also been a box office success, collecting over Rs. 280 crores in its first week itself.
