Tiger 3 Box Office: Salman Khan starrer likely to fold under less than Rs. 300 crores at India box office

The Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 which hit screens a while back has been doing rather well at the box office. Coming with immense anticipation and hype the third instalment in the Tiger franchise opened with a roaring start. The business of the film, which benefitted from the Diwali festivities, saw the collections soar. However, as the days have progressed, the business of the film has been seeing a marked deceleration in collections.

Looking at the collections of Tiger 3, the film which started off with Rs. 44.50 cr. coming in on its opening day managed to rake in Rs. 148.50 cr. by the close of its opening weekend. Following this, the collections of Tiger 3 remained more or less stable over its first week ending with a total collection of Rs. 188.25 cr. Though in its first week running the business of Tiger 3 stayed well above the two digit mark each day, its second week saw the daily business of the film register single digit collections ending its second week run with a tally of Rs. 271.55 cr.

 

Going forward, with new releases set to hit screens and the fact that the charm of Tiger 3 has worn off, indicate a dwindling collection curve. As it stands currently, Tiger 3 seems unlikely to cross the Rs. 300 cr. mark. In fact, trade predictions state that while the business of the film will come close to crossing this elusive target, the overall business is likely to fold under less than Rs. 300 crores at the India box office
