KGF – Chapter 2 Box Office: Film is now the 4th Highest All Time grosser in the Mumbai circuit; all set to surpass Tiger Zinda Hai
The Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 is proving to be unstoppable at the box office. Since its release a while back the business of KGF 2 has been seeing immense growth with each passing day. After a thunderous start the film saw its business soar over its extended four-day weekend. If that was not enough, the business of the film saw further growth over its first week with the second weekend showing a similar trend.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of KGF – Chapter 2 within the Mumbai circuit alone while comparing the same to previous releases. Collecting Rs. 107.66 cr. in Mumbai, KGF – Chapter 2 ranks as the fourth highest all-time grosser in this circuit. In fact, the business of the film has managed to surpass the collections of previous releases like PK which collected Rs.105.2 cr., Dangal which collected Rs. 104.22 cr., Sanju which collected Rs. 102.39 cr., and Bajrangi Bhaijaan which collected Rs. 99.34 cr.
Interestingly though, leading the list are other releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior and Tiger Zinda Hai. However, with KGF – Chapter 2 still going strong in theatres, the collections of the film are expected to soon surpass the business of the Salman Khan film Tiger Zinda Hai which collected Rs. 109.08 cr.
Currently KGF – Chapter 2 seems to be unaffected much by the new releases Runway 34 and Heropanti 2 releasing. As per trade predictions the business of the Yash starrer will continue to see growth over the weekend with yet another spike in collections on Eid.
