Gadar 2 Box Office: Film surpasses Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion; emerges as the all-time second fastest release to enter the Rs. 500 Crore Club

In a remarkable feat that has set new records in the world of Indian cinema, Gadar 2 after opening on a thunderous note has now become a massive blockbuster. After fast blowing past the Rs. 100 cr, Rs. 200 cr, and Rs. 400 cr mark, the business of the Anil Sharma directorial has continued to forge ahead. In fact, now after its fourth weekend running, the Sunny Deol – Ameesha Patel starrer has managed to go past the Rs. 500 cr mark. Collecting Rs. 501.17 cr in just 24 days of its release, Gadar 2 has emerged as the all-time second fastest Rs. 500 cr grosser coming in just behind the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan that had achieved this feat in just 22 days of its release. But, on the other hand, Gadar 2 which is only the third release ever to make it past the Rs. 500 cr mark, manages to surpass the SS Rajamouli directorial Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion which had crossed the Rs. 500 cr mark in 34 days of its release. If that was not enough, with the stunning success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and even Anil Sharma now manage to make their debut in the highly exclusive Rs. 500 cr club.

 

As for the film, Gadar 2 continues to run in theatres, with audience patronizing the film even today. But with the upcoming release of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan slated for later this week, trade predictions state that the business of Gadar 2 will see a massive dip in collections.
