Box Office: Venom – Let There Be Carnage collects Rs. 12.05 cr on opening weekend

The second instalment in the Venom franchise, Venom: Let There Be Carnage released last week. Starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock AKA Venom, the film sees him take on his nemesis Carnage AKA Cletus Kasady played by Woody Harrelson. The action packed entertainer that opened on a good note continued to see growth in collections as the weekend progressed. In fact, Venom: Let There Be Carnage managed to rake in Rs. 12.05 cr over its opening weekend, despite cinema halls in Maharashtra remaining shut.

After drawing Rs. 2.95 cr on Thursday, the business of Venom: Let There Be Carnage that enjoyed an extended festive weekend managed to draw in a further Rs. 3.20 cr on Friday, Rs. 2.93 cr on Saturday and Rs. 2.97 cr on Sunday. With this the total business of the film is currently pegged at Rs. 12.05 cr.

 

Interestingly, the film which released in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu will release in Maharashtra on October 22 once theatres reopen. Given the hype surrounding the film, the positive feedback and the fact that Maharashtra will see a staggered release, trade predictions state that the business of Venom: Let There Be Carnage will continue to grow.
