collected Rs. 10.94 cr hasn't been able to break the record of their previous released Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that collected Rs. 19.45 cr on its opening day.
Tamasha, however, has emerged as the third highest grosser of Ranbir Kapoor leaving behind some of his blockbusters like Barfi! which collected Rs. 9.20 cr, Rockstar that
collected Rs. 10.60 cr and even Rajneeti which collected Rs. 10.50 cr.
On the other hand, Tamasha hasn't been able to surpass Deepika Padukone's commercial blockbusters like Happy New Year which collected Rs. 44.97 cr and Chennai Express which
collected Rs. 33.12 cr. However, the film manages to post in more collections compared to the 2015 release of the actress, Piku which collected Rs. 5.10 cr.
