Box Office: Dishoom is Varun Dhawan's 2nd highest opening weekend grosser

 

On Friday last week, we saw the release of the Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Dishoom. The film directed by Rohit Dhawan opened to a decent response from the audiences and has continued with a steady run at the box office over the weekend.

 

In this box office report, we take a look at the Opening Weekend collections of Dishoom while comparing them to Varun Dhawan's previous releases. Interestingly, while Dishoom opened better than Varun's previous release ABCD 2 in the overseas market of UAE, the film ranks as the actor's second highest opened weekend grosser at the domestic box office collecting Rs. 37.32 cr, while ABCD 2 collected Rs. 46.35 cr in the same time frame.

 

However, with Dishoom running in the theatres this week, what's left to be seen is whether the film manages to surpass the collections of Varun's other releases.

 

Note: Though Varun Dhawan featured in the film Dilwale we have not accounted for the film since it was a Shah Rukh Khan starrer with Varun playing the second lead.
