BO Report Card: Opening Day Collection of Boss
Akshay Kumar's latest film Boss hit the screens yesterday (Oct 16) on the occasion of Eid. In our usual format, we shall review the success of Boss in this edition of Box Office Report Card. However, this time we take two different segments, wherein Boss is pitted against Akshay's other releases in one and Boss being pitted against the Top 10 Opening Day Grossers of 2013 in the other.
BO Report Card: Opening Day Collection of Boss
In comparison with Akshay's earlier releases, Boss just about missed the number one slot to Rowdy Rathore and came in second at Rs. 14.5 crores on the Opening Day, surpassing his other films like Housefull 2, Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara, Special 26, Khiladi 786 and OMG Oh My God.
On the other hand, in comparison with the Top 10 Opening Day Grossers of 2013, Boss comes in the fifth place behind Chennai Express, Besharam, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2.
What remains to be seen is, whether the weekend collections of the film manage to overtake the other big releases of this year.
