Hitting a new low

THANK YOU has emerged one of the biggest disappointments in Overseas. In view of the fact that the Akshay - Anees Bazmee combo had reaped a harvest in WELCOME and SINGH IS KINNG, UTV decided to give THANK YOU a wide release to capitalize on the super-successful combination. But the results have sent shock waves in the international arena.
Hitting a new low

 

In U.K., THANK YOU is the second lowest opener of Akshay. It is slightly better than ACTION REPLAYY, but lower than all other films [check chart below].

 

In U.S.A., it is the lowest opener of Akshay. Lower than even ACTION REPLAYY and KHATTA MEETHA [check chart below].

 

Meanwhile, MY NAME IS KHAN, which had an extensive release in South Korea three weeks ago, is faring exceptionally well there [check figures below].
