Subhash Ghai to revive Devaa:

Remember Devaa, the ambitious project that Subhash Ghai was about to launch in the late '80s with Amitabh Bachchan? The same film that never took off because the Big B had certain 'problems' with Ghai's script. Now, the grapevine has it, Ghai is once again willing to revive the project. Which is, of course, music to the Bachchan - after all, given his present crisis and given Ghai 100 per cent B-O record, Bachchan could do well with a Subhash Ghai film under his belt. The rumour about Devaa being revived gains momentum all the more because Sunny Deol recently requested for the title's copyright from Ghai, as the name suits a script that director Guddu Dhanoa (of Ziddi fame) would like to make with him in the lead. Ghai, we heard has flatly turned down Sunny's plea. By the way, the scoop on Devaa however, may not be a pleasant news to Bachchan himself. From what we heard, though Ghai is interested in reviving the project, his choice for the title role may not be Amitabh Bachchan this time around.
