SC sends notice to Kaal producers

Multi-starrer movie Kaal got embroiled in a controversy today with the Supreme Court issuing notices to its producer and the Centre on the allegation that it was shot in locations deep within Jim Corbett National Park in violation of the Wildlife Act. The producers have been alleged of shooting the film violating the Wildlife Act and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and shooting the film without necessary permissions either from the Central Government or the concerned authorities. The film, whose star cast included Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, John Abraham, Isha Deol and Lara Dutta, was also put under the scanner for showing cruelty to animals like lions, tigers and eagles, which were used as performing animals.
