Mujhse Dosti Karoge promotion created by IndiaFM has been nominated for the Abby Awards in the category of Internet Advertising and Promotion'. The Abby awards are the Oscars of Indian ad awards to honour creative excellence in advertising. They are undoubtedly, the biggest and the most prestigious ad award show in the country eagerly awaited by more than 2500 professionals from the marketing, advertising, media, research and PR fraternity.
The awards are going to be declared on March 16, 2003.
The brief from the client- Yash Raj Films was to do something innovative and creative to promote their upcoming movie Mujhse Dosti Karoge on the Internet. Mujhse Dosti Karoge was a movie centered on the theme of friendship starring Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee.
IndiaFM created one-of-its kind Internet innovation- centered on the theme of friendship. The promotion communicated the simple idea of friendship in a fun and interactive manner using a theme of cursors!! User could send the Mujhse Dosti Karoge application to his friends thus spreading the message about friendship as well as the movie!!
The movie was integrated in the promotion to create hype and anticipation about the movie.
