'Masti' director repeats Vivek

Vivek Oberoi may not have won immense praise for his work in MASTI, but the actor continues to be on Cloud Nine. The bottomline is, the film should fare well at the ticket window. That's what matters eventually, a jubilant Vivek tells me, rattling off the b.o. collections of his new hit, What's the point of winning accolades for your performance if the film turns out to be a turkey at the turnstiles? If you're under the impression that Vivek is stating this as a face-saver [Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh Deshmukh have walked away with the ceetees!], you've got it wrong. For, even before MASTI had hit the marquee, the makers of the film, Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar, had decided to repeat Vivek in their next venture. Vivek's passion for creativity and love for cinema matches our's, Thakeria confirms, That explains why we decided to work together yet again after MASTI. Vivek is more forthcoming on the issue. I had a whale of a time shooting for MASTI. So much so that I fervently wished the shooting would never end [chuckles]. But I did tell Ashok-ji and Indu-ji that I would love to be a part of all their films since we bonded beautifully, he reveals, Being a part of their forthcoming film was a foregone conclusion. Vivek is now looking forward to his next big release - Subhash Ghai's KISNA. Working with Subhash-ji has been a richly-rewarding experience. I've learnt so much from this film, the youngster states. Don't be surprised if Ghai decides to repeat the guy as well!
