While the film is breaking all records at the box office, the superstar is garnering tremendous love and praise for his performance. He has received plenty of accolades for essaying the characters of Hamza and Jaskirat Singh Rangi in both the films, and director Aditya Dhar had always considered him the perfect choice for the role, as shared by casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
In an interview with Times Now, Mukesh Chhabra spoke about the casting process for Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar franchise. He revealed that the decision to cast Ranveer Singh in the lead had already been finalised before he came on board, adding that it was a choice he completely agreed with. He said, “I think Aditya (Dhar) thought ki wo perfect hoga film ke liye (Aditya thought that he would be perfect for the role). Look at how great he was in the film. How well he acted, how dedicatedly he killed it in performance! I've never seen a better performance than (this) in recent times,” he said, hailing the actor’s commitment.
With Dhurandhar The Revenge, Ranveer Singh has created mass hysteria across the nation. The film has collected over Rs. 1000 crores nett in Hindi alone, making him the first actor to deliver such a massive blockbuster.
With the success of Dhurandhar franchise, Ranveer has risen to the top. Now, everyone is eager to watch him return to the big screen with something massier.
