On the 22nd anniversary of Krishna Cottage, actor Isha Koppikar revisited her experience of working on the film, sharing accounts of unusual and unexplained incidents that occurred during production.
In a recent interaction, Koppikar stated that the atmosphere on set often extended beyond the scripted horror. “There were moments that we could not logically explain,” she said. Recalling a specific incident, she noted, “I was preparing in my vanity van for a scene where I was meant to scare my co-actors. However, when I arrived on set, they were already visibly disturbed and assumed it was me. I had not yet stepped out, so whatever unsettled them remains unknown.”
She further explained that such occurrences were not isolated. Over time, the cast and crew grew accustomed to these experiences. “After a point, we stopped questioning it and continued with the shoot,” she added.
Koppikar also described a consistent sense of unease she experienced throughout filming. “There was a persistent feeling of being watched,” she said. “Particularly after the camera stopped rolling, I would feel a distinct tingling sensation around my neck while walking back alone. It was unsettling and difficult to ignore.”
Despite these experiences, the actor maintains a positive perspective on the project. “I would not change anything about that journey,” she stated. “The film offered an experience that went beyond performance, something intangible and difficult to articulate.”
Koppikar’s reflections provide additional insight into the film’s enduring intrigue, highlighting how off-screen experiences may have contributed to its lasting impact.
