Trust Meryl Streep to deliver one of the biggest fashion moments of The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour and it's just the beginning! The Oscar-winning actress, who is returning as the iconic Miranda Priestly, made her way to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about the 20th Century Studios film. While everyone was excited to hear all about the film, fans of the OG film celebrated the fashion nod Streep gave to The Devil Wears Prada and Anne Hathaway's Andrea Sachs aka Andy during the appearance.
For the show, Meryl Streep opted to wear the iconic Cerulean blue sweater from The Devil Wears Prada. Fans of the first film would remember Miranda judging Andy (played by Anne Hathaway) for wearing the blue sweater, which eventually became an iconic moment from the film. Two decades later, Meryl donned the same look, breaking the internet.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings back Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci on the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway magazine. Besides reuniting the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, the film introduces an all-new runway of characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, and B.J. Novak. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as Lily and Irv from the first film.
20th Century Studios will release The Devil Wears Prada 2 in cinemas on May 1, 2026.
