Actors Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur are set to share screen space in Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha, and their on-screen pairing is already generating buzz ahead of the film’s release. From glimpses of their romantic track Rubaroo to their candid promotional appearances, the duo’s chemistry has caught the attention of audiences.
Opening up about their dynamic, Sesh spoke about how their bond developed organically during the shoot. He said, “I think it was a beautiful surprise to have somebody so down to earth, literally sometimes because we had so many conversations with the both of us sitting on the ground. She looked out for me, she looked out for my performance, I looked out for. She looked out for me in Hindi, I looked out for her in Telugu.” His comments highlight the mutual support the two actors shared, especially while working across languages.
Sesh further explained that their approach to the film played a key role in shaping their performances. “There was a beautiful understanding of what these characters were, simply because we didn’t approach them with egos, both of us came to sets early to kind of understand and discuss the role,” he said. He added, “So in that sense we became characters we love and by extension it became two actors who love each other on-screen and the chemistry flowing beautifully because we were so in love with our own respective characters.”
The film marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo and is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, with Suniel Narang serving as co-producer. Presented by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, with the story and screenplay jointly written by Sesh and Deo.
The film is slated for a pan-India theatrical release on April 10, 2026, and is expected to showcase an intense blend of romance and drama.
