Actor Akansha Ranjan Kapoor marked International Women’s Day by sharing a deeply personal update with her followers, revealing that she recently underwent an egg-freezing procedure.
In a candid social media post, the actor explained that she had not initially planned to share the experience but felt the occasion was the right moment to speak about it. Reflecting on the journey, she described the past two weeks as intense, noting that the process involved daily hormone injections, medical scans, medication, an IV drip and ultimately surgery. She also spoke about dealing with the physical effects of the treatment, including bloating and mood swings.
Through the experience, Akansha said she developed a deeper appreciation for the resilience of the female body, calling women “badasses” and expressing awe at how intelligent and capable the body can be. She also shared that she had begun easing back into her routine after the procedure, even though she could only manage a short walk around her building. For her, however, that felt like enough after what she described as her body accomplishing something “pretty amazing.”

Her post quickly drew supportive responses from friends and colleagues in the industry. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra reacted with heart emojis, while Alia Bhatt commented, “So well said.” Actor Vaani Kapoor also showed her support, writing, “Big love for you my girl.”
On the work front, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor was last seen in Gram Chikitsalay on Amazon Prime Video. She will next appear in the upcoming project Ikka alongside Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, which is slated to release on Netflix.
