Tahir Raj Bhasin has officially wrapped the shoot for filmmaker Vikram Phadnis’ upcoming directorial. The actor, who plays the lead in the yet-to-be-titled project, announced the wrap on Instagram with a heartfelt note and a series of behind-the-scenes photos from the set.
Sharing the post with his followers, Tahir reflected on the journey of working on the film and thanked the team for their efforts.
The post reads: “It’s a wrap. What a ride this one’s been. Thank you @vikram for writing and directing a part that is all heart and has been such a treat to play. Can’t wait to share your labour of love with the world. @Jayoza a magician with the lens. Thank you for bringing your excellence and raising the aesthetic bar everyday. And to the endlessly energetic crew, assistants, and fantastic co-stars thank you for the madness and the journey. ”
The film marks a special collaboration between the actor and Phadnis, who is directing the project. Speaking about working with the filmmaker, Tahir expressed his gratitude and shared that the role allowed him to explore a new space as an actor.
“It has been wonderful working with Vikram Phadnis. His warmth and energy on set are truly infectious, and I’m grateful that he chose me as the lead of his Hindi-language directorial debut. This project is particularly special for me as it allowed me to step away from the series of anti-hero roles that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed portraying over the years. It gave me the opportunity to explore a lighter, emotional, slice-of-life narrative and take on something I had been keen to experiment with as an actor. While I can’t reveal much about the character just yet, audiences will get to see a side of me on screen that I haven’t explored before.”
The upcoming film marks Phadnis’ third directorial venture overall and his first Hindi-language directorial project. While details about the story and cast remain under wraps, the film promises to present Tahir in a refreshing avatar.
Meanwhile, Tahir has been riding a strong wave of success with several notable projects. He recently appeared in Special Ops 2, where he played a menacing antagonist. Prior to that, he featured in the popular series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and Sultan of Delhi, further cementing his reputation for playing complex and intense characters.
With this new film, audiences can look forward to seeing a different side of the actor as he steps into a more emotional and slice-of-life narrative.
