The Tamil Nadu distribution rights of Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have been locked at an advance of Rs. 63 crore on a commission basis, making it one of the notable deals in the territory in recent years. The agreement signals strong trade confidence in the film’s prospects in the state, particularly given Yash’s consistent theatrical draw in Tamil Nadu.

The distribution rollout in Tamil Nadu will follow a multi-partner strategy aimed at ensuring wide penetration across circuits. Chennai City will be handled by Think Studios under Swarup Reddy, while the Chengalpet area will be distributed by White Nights, led by Trident Ravi. The Coimbatore, North and South Arcot, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari territories will be overseen by S Picture Srinivasan. Meanwhile, the Madurai & Ramnad, Trichy & Thanjavur, and Salem circuits will be managed by 5 Star Senthil. The structured territorial allocation is expected to strengthen the film’s presence across single screens and multiplexes statewide.
Collectively expressing their excitement about the collaboration, the Tamil Nadu distribution partners said, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is easily one of the most anticipated Indian films in recent times, and the love it already has in Tamil Nadu is incredible. The way audiences here have embraced Yash over the years is truly special. We are thrilled to come on board as distribution partners for a film of this scale and ambition. It's not just a big release for us - it's an exciting moment to be associated with one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema today"
Trade observers attribute the scale of the deal partly to the performance of K.G.F: Chapter 2 and the growing acceptance of Yash among Tamil audiences. His previous releases have found a steady market in the state, contributing to distributor confidence for his upcoming projects. Industry insiders note that cross-market appeal continues to play a role in shaping pre-release valuations for large-scale films.
With the Rs. 63 crore advance deal in place and a defined territorial structure, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is positioned for a wide release across Tamil Nadu. The film has been written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas. It has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and additional languages.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. The film also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles.
