Actor, producer, entrepreneur and mental health advocate Deepika Padukone marked her birthday with the launch of a meaningful new initiative aimed at nurturing fresh creative voices. Continuing her long-standing commitment to authentic storytelling and talent development, Deepika announced the launch of ‘The OnSet Program’, the next chapter of her Create With Me platform, designed to empower the next generation of creative professionals across Indian cinema, television and advertising.
The OnSet Program has been envisioned as a space where emerging talent can be “seen, heard, and experienced.” It aims to bridge the gap between aspiration and access by offering promising individuals an opportunity to gain real-world exposure within the industry. While the program will provide structured training opportunities, it will also act as a launch play-field for individuals who already possess the expertise and experience to lead their own creative projects.
In its first phase, the initiative will focus on a wide range of key departments essential to visual storytelling. These include writing, direction, camera, lighting, editing, sound designing, art direction, costume designing, hair styling, make-up artistry and production. By opening doors across these verticals, the program seeks to foster a more inclusive and skill-driven creative ecosystem.
Announcing the initiative via a video shared on her Instagram handle, Deepika said, “This past year, I’ve been feeling very strongly about identifying incredible creative talent from across the country and beyond and giving them a platform to be seen, heard and experienced. I am beyond thrilled to announce the launch of The OnSet Program and truly cannot wait to introduce all of you to the next generation of creative talent.”

Building on her vision to identify and uplift creative voices from India and beyond, The OnSet Program can now be explored by interested individuals, who are invited to submit their work for a chance to collaborate and work with established professionals from the industry.
On the professional front, Deepika Padukone has an exciting slate ahead. She will next be seen in an untitled film directed by Atlee, starring Allu Arjun in the lead role. Additionally, the actress is also expected to play a key role in King, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan.
With The OnSet Program, Deepika adds yet another dimension to her growing impact beyond the screen, reinforcing her commitment to shaping the future of Indian storytelling.
