A wedding video featuring Tamil star Suriya recently went viral on social media after capturing a bride’s heartfelt reaction to his surprise appearance. The video was shared by a couple named Aravind and Kajal, who had been documenting moments from their wedding on their Instagram page, kaadhals.
In the clip, the groom surprised the bride by walking into the wedding hall alongside Suriya, who was dressed in a monochrome outfit and sunglasses. The bride’s reaction instantly stood out as she appeared visibly stunned, widening her eyes before covering her mouth in disbelief upon seeing the actor. Family members welcomed Suriya as he greeted the couple, interacted warmly with the bride, and posed for photographs with them.
Sharing the video, the bride wrote, “This is what ‘knowing your person’ looks like! with a red heart emoji” The text overlaid on the video read, “Edhirapaakala la? Naan varuven nu edhirapaakala la?” which roughly translated to, “Did you expect that I would come?” The groom also expressed his gratitude, writing, “Thank you so much @actorsuriya sir for making our occasion more memorable than ever.”
The video quickly drew reactions from fans; many of whom were equally surprised to see Suriya attend a fan’s wedding. One comment read, “What else could she dream of? Making us jealous, right?” while another said, “Suriya is such a lovely person.” A fan described the moment as a “generational flex,” and several others praised the actor’s humility. One user even tagged her partner, writing, “I don’t know how, but make it happen.”
On the work front, Suriya was last seen in Kanguva (2024) and Retro (2025). At present, he is shooting for Karuppu with RJ Balaji, in which he is set to appear in dual roles. He is also working on an untitled project with director Venky Atluri and actor Mamitha Baiju, along with another film directed by Jithu Madhavan, co-starring Nazriya Nazim and Naslen.
