Mexican actor Dario Yazbek praises Vikrant Massey’s transformation as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in White: “Vikrant did an incredible job”

After earning critical acclaim and a National Award for his performance as IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma in 12th Fail, the actor is set to appear as spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the upcoming political thriller White, directed by Montoo Bassi.

Scheduled for a worldwide release in 2026, White is described as a film that combines diplomacy, spirituality, and political intrigue. Massey’s casting as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar attracts attention early on, and his performance receives strong appreciation from his co-star, Mexican actor Dario Yazbek.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Dario spoke about working closely with Vikrant during the film’s shoot in India and shared his reaction after meeting the spiritual leader in real life. “When I worked with Vikrant, we did a lot of scenes together, and we were there working together for long hours. Then when I met Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in real life, I thought, ‘Oh my God, he looks like Vikrant,’” he said, laughing.

Dario also praised Massey’s attention to detail and depth as a performer. “Vikrant did an incredible job imitating not just Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar’s physicality and pattern of speech, but just the aura that he transmits. I was very impressed,” he added.

Massey had previously undergone a significant physical and emotional transformation for 12th Fail, where he portrayed the struggles and determination of a UPSC aspirant. A similar level of preparation was evident in White, with the actor focusing not only on appearance but also on capturing the essence of the person he portrayed.
