Star Plus’ iconic show Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.0 is set for a dramatic leap, promising high-voltage drama and unexpected twists that will keep viewers glued to their screens. Amar Upadhyay, who plays the beloved Mihir Virani, has candidly shared his thoughts on this new chapter, calling it one of the most challenging phases of his career.
Speaking about the leap, Amar revealed that the development took him by surprise and demanded intense emotional depth as a performer. Reflecting on Mihir’s journey post-leap, the actor said, “When I found out about the leap, it genuinely shocked me, and I can say that the upcoming episodes are going to be very interesting. This phase has been one of the most challenging parts of playing Mihir, because once again he ends up betraying Tulsi’s love and trust.”
He further elaborated on the emotional complexity of the character, highlighting how Mihir becomes the source of pain for the person who loves him unconditionally. “Tulsi loves Mihir with complete honesty and depth, and yet Mihir becomes the person who hurts her the most,” Amar added, underlining the heartbreak at the core of the narrative.
One of the most poignant moments for Mihir after the leap is his return to Shantiniketan, now stripped of its warmth and life. Describing the experience, Amar shared, “Stepping into Shantiniketan after the leap, and finding it empty, was deeply heartbreaking for me as Mihir. That silence spoke louder than words. It wasn’t just a house, it was once full of love, family, and shared memories.”
He concluded by noting that Mihir’s internal conflict, living with guilt while confronting the consequences of his choices, adds emotional weight and realism to the storyline, making it compelling for viewers.
The leap will see Mihir separated from Tulsi, and she is now living with her favorite son Angad (played by Rohit Suchanti), married to Vrinda (Tanisha Mehta). Meanwhile, the fate of Paridhi (Shagun Sharma) and Hrithik (Aman Gandhi) remains uncertain. Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.0 airs this Friday at 10:30 PM only on Star Plus.
