Bobby Deol, one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars, recently marked a major career milestone—thirty years in the film industry. From his debut in Barsaat to his recent resurgence with powerful performances, the actor continues to command admiration for his humility, persistence, and passion for the craft. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor spoke about completing a major milestone in his career.
“I've been in the industry for 30 years now. So on the 6th of October I celebrate 30 years,” Bobby Deol revealed to Bollywood Hungama, further reflecting on the incredible journey that has shaped him as both an artist and an individual. “I guess you don't realize because mentally I still think like a child and definitely I was the most senior member of The Ba***ds of Bollywood and I think each and every person on that production, everyone was so involved and so much, they had so much energy and so much conviction and so much belief and it was all because of Aryan, you know, he created that ambience, he created that whole atmosphere of positive and never give up feel because the kind of person Aryan is, he's like, he's magical as I said, he's amazing as a person, as a director, and it was his The Ba***ds of Bollywood is what it is, it's all thanks to him and all the actors involved.”
Grateful for the love he has received through the years, Bobby added, “30 years is an achievement, yet I believe that I want to keep working and I not I don't want to count how many years I've spent in the industry. I just want to, just you know, like till my last breath. I just want to be working as an actor. I feel that way and I'm very lucky that I worked hard and gave respect to my profession to my industry and revived myself.”
Furthermore, Bobby credits much of his professional and personal growth to his father, the legendary Dharmendra, whose influence continues to shape his journey. “I've learned from my father a lot you know and whatever I am today is all because of his blessings right. He's still ahead in the game on Instagram and everywhere he is he he he loves he's a people's person he likes to be in touch with his audiences and he he is such an inspiration that he wants to always give inspire people all the time whenever he gets that moment you know.”
Admiring his father’s relentless energy, Bobby added, “Look at my dad. He's 90, almost 90 and he still talks about working. Wow. Even today morning he was saying you know I want to work and uh find me work. I'm like yes papa I will. You know, he's that, he's got so much fire, you know, he's so I think 30 years is is, is is an achievement yet. I believe that I, I want to keep working and I not I don't want to count how many years I've spent in the industry. I just want to, just you know, like till my last breath. I just want to be working as an actor.”
The actor emphasizes that the discipline and humility he carries stem directly from his father’s example. “I've learned from my father a lot... whatever I am today is all because of his blessings,” he reiterated.
For Bobby, success has always been a shared journey—one fueled by his family’s support and the love of fans across generations. “The love I get from my fans and from the new audiences I've who become my fans is just amazing. End of the day, you are what you are because of the love you get from the audiences. And I truly believe in that and I think I've learned that from my father.”
He further added with emotion, “Wherever I go, I mean to hear everyone coming up to you and saying you know you're the only person we know who when you succeed we feel happy we feel your success is our success and to hear that from so many people wherever I go I keep thinking to myself I mean god why do I have to complain why there's I don't need to complain about anything you know because there's so much love out there for me and people come knocking on my car window and they, things like that, you know, and that's just, I keep pinching myself is just I mean what have I done that people love me so much but I just feel very blessed.”
