Gram Chikitsalay follows the story of Dr. Prabhat, a young city-based doctor who is posted to a neglected Primary Health Centre in the fictional village of Bhathkandi. Played by Amol Parashar, Dr. Prabhat must navigate the cultural and logistical challenges of working in a remote village while attempting to bring the facility back to life and earn the villagers’ trust. The trailer introduces viewers to a world full of quirky characters, bureaucratic hurdles, and local politics. Alongside Parashar, the series stars Vinay Pathak, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, and Garima Vikrant Singh.

“Portraying Dr. Prabhat has been one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after the camera stops rolling,” said Amol Parashar. “At its heart, Gram Chikitsalay is a nuanced exploration of a doctor’s determination to serve, even when faced with deep-rooted resistance from the community he hopes to help. The series masterfully weaves moments of levity with emotional depth, creating a narrative that I believe will resonate deeply with audiences. I'm excited for viewers to witness Dr. Prabhat's journey—his struggles, his triumphs, and his quest for that elusive first patient with Gram Chikitsalay premiering on Prime Video in India and across the world on May 9.”

Vinay Pathak, who plays Daak Sahab, highlighted the show’s grounded appeal. “What makes Gram Chikitsalay stand out is its simplicity and relatability. The show captures the charm and quirks of village life while shedding light on an important issue—accessible healthcare,” he said. “Working with such a talented ensemble cast has been wonderful—there was a natural camaraderie throughout the production that I believe has translated beautifully on screen.”

Director Rahul Pandey added, “Gram Chikitsalay is more than just a show about a city doctor trying to make a difference in a village — it's a story about community, hope, and the small moments that change lives. Working with Prime Video and TVF has been incredible; they truly understand how to tell honest, heartfelt stories. Our cast and crew have poured themselves into making every scene feel real and relatable. The result is something special—a series that I believe will make viewers laugh, feel, and maybe see their own communities differently.”

Gram Chikitsalay joins a growing list of Prime Video’s original Indian content focusing on life in small towns, blending humour with relevant social themes.
