We know that Sonali Bendre is fighting cancer in the United States and has been inspiring us to stay strong while fighting away troubles with poise and dignity. In fact, the actress has been sharing powerful stories of her journey battling this deadly disease assisted by her friends and family. But, a while back some disturbing news surfaced on the Internet claiming that, Sonali had succumbed to the disease and is no more amongst us. Well, fortunately this ghastly news was just a hoax and Sonali is hale and hearty. Guess who started this rumour? None other politician Ram Kadam who is currently mired in controversies for his problematic statements on women.

He took to Twitter earlier to today put out a post stating that the actress has passed away but was quick to retort to his stand and put out an apology, calling this bad news just a rumour. He wrote, “About Sonali Bendre ji. It was rumour. Since last two days.. I pray to God for her good health & speedy recovery.” Below is his tweet.

Sonali took to Instagram yesterday to share a rather brave post about herself reading a book in a bald avatar. The actress is currently undergoing chemotherapy which leads to loss of copious amounts of hair. While hair is a sensitive topic as far as vanity of an individual is considered, Sonali has been pretty open about it and even posted a pictures of herself in a custom wig.
