Vidya Balan kick-started the festive fervor with a chic yellow coloured Faabiiana ensemble. The ensemble from the Jaipur based label by designers Kusum & Karishma Luharuwala featured embroidered matching separates of a kurta, skirt/ palazzo pants and a dupatta.

Styled by Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar of Who Wore What When, Vidya sported jewellery by Senco Gold & Diamonds and carried a gold-toned potli bag from The Pink Potli.

Sporting sleek blow-dried hair, Vidya rounded out the look with a subtle makeup of defined eyes and pink lips.
On the professional front, Vidya will feature in two biopics. She will portray Basavatarakam, the first wife of the titular protagonist, in N. T. R., a Telugu-language biopic of the actor, filmmaker and politician N. T. Rama Rao. She has also committed to produce and star as Indira Gandhi in a yet-untitled web series based on Sagarika Ghose's biography Indira – India’s Most Powerful Prime Minister.
